Frequently asked questions

A FUBUKI 360 Experience:

Can I be notified when a product I want is back in stock?

→ Yes! Go to the model and size you want, click “notify me when available,” and enter your email address. We’ll send you a message the moment they’re back, faster than you can say “add to cart.”

How can I get news about FUBUKI?

→ Follow us on Instagram and TikTok, or subscribe to our newsletter. That’s where we share new releases, restocks, and all things Fubuki,  no spam, just good energy!

Where do most people use their Fubuki boots and slippers?

→ You’ll find FUBUKIs pretty much anywhere it’s cold, wet, or snowy. From ski resorts and mountain cabins to city streets, fishing docks, and even Arctic expeditions. They’re made for people who spend time outdoors but still want to stay comfy and look good doing it.

Why should I buy a par?

→ Because they’re lightweight, super warm, and ridiculously comfortable — all while looking way better than your average winter boot. Whether you’re walking the dog, heading to the slopes, or running errands on a slushy day, FUBUKIs keep your feet happy no matter what the weather’s doing.

Are FUBUKI the best winter boots for everyday use?

→ If you're looking for warm, waterproof, lightweight winter boots that can handle snow and cold weather, FUBUKI is designed for exactly that. Whether you're commuting, walking the dog, visiting a ski resort, or travelling through snowy destinations, FUBUKI boots offer comfort, insulation, and weather protection without the bulk of traditional winter footwear.

Products:

Why are FUBUKI boots different from other winter boots?

→ FUBUKI boots combine Scandinavian design, waterproof EVA construction, lightweight comfort, and reliable insulation. Unlike many traditional winter boots, FUBUKI boots deliver warmth and weather protection without the heavy weight commonly associated with insulated snow boots. Whether you're walking through snow, slush, ski resorts, or cold city streets, FUBUKI boots are designed to keep your feet warm, dry, and comfortable all winter long.

Are FUBUKI waterproof boots?

→ Yes! FUBUKI waterproof boots feature a durable EVA shell that protects your feet from wet winter conditions. Our waterproof snow boots are designed for everyday winter use, making them ideal for snowy commutes, ski resorts, outdoor adventures, and cold-weather travel.

Are FUBUKI boots good for rain?

→ Yes! Because FUBUKI boots are fully waterproof, they perform just as well in rain as they do in snow. The EVA shell keeps water out whether it falls from the sky or slushes up from the pavement, no soggy socks, whatever the weather.

How warm are FUBUKI boots and what temperatures are they suitable for?

→ FUBUKI boots are designed for cold winter conditions and are used everywhere from Scandinavian cities and ski resorts to Arctic expeditions. The Niseko 3.0 and Niseko 3.0 Low are rated to -30°C (-22°F) ISO 20877:2011. Their insulated lining and lightweight EVA construction help keep feet warm and comfortable in snow, slush, and sub-zero temperatures. The exact performance depends on factors like activity level, weather conditions, and sock choice, but FUBUKIs are built to perform in demanding winter environments where warmth, comfort, and weather protection are essential.

Do FUBUKI boots have a good grip on ice?

→ FUBUKI boots feature a synthetic rubber outsole engineered for traction on wet, icy, and snowy surfaces. While no boot can guarantee grip on black ice, the outsole is designed to give you confident footing in the winter conditions you're most likely to encounter day-to-day.

Are FUBUKIs good for hiking?

→ FUBUKIs are perfect for winter walks, snowy trails, everyday outdoor adventures, and long days spent outside. For technical hiking, mountaineering, or climbing, we'd recommend footwear specifically designed for those activities.

Which FUBUKI model should I choose?

→ That's like asking us to choose a favourite child. Niseko is our classic winter boot and the go-to choice for most customers looking for warmth, comfort, and versatility. Nozawa offers the same FUBUKI DNA in a lower-cut design that's easy to slip on and off. Okinawa and Miyako are lightweight everyday models perfect for milder conditions. Still unsure? Send us a message and we'll help you find your perfect match.

What is the difference between all four FUBUKI models?

→ Niseko is our full-height, warmest boot, built for maximum protection in serious cold and snow. It's the top choice for Arctic travel, Lapland, and harsh winter conditions.

Nozawa shares the same waterproof EVA construction and insulated lining as the Niseko, but in a lower-cut silhouette that's easier to slip on and off, ideal for everyday winter use.

Okinawa and Miyako are our lightest everyday models, designed for milder winter conditions and city use. Both are fully vegan. Check the individual product pages for full specs and material details.

What is the difference between Niseko and Nozawa?

→ Niseko is our iconic full-height winter boot designed for maximum warmth, protection, and versatility. Nozawa offers the same FUBUKI comfort and weather protection in a lower-cut design that is easier to slip on and off.

Which FUBUKI model is warmest?

→ Niseko 3.0 is generally the warmest model in the FUBUKI range thanks to its higher shaft and winter-focused construction. It is the preferred choice for prolonged exposure to cold, snow, and harsh winter conditions.

Size Guide:

What sizes do FUBUKI boots come in?

→ FUBUKI boots are available in EU sizes 35–46 for adults and EU sizes 28/29–36/37 for kids. You'll find the full size range on each product page. Our size guide is also available here to help you find the right fit before you buy a pair or two.

How do I know what size to wear?

→ Our boots fit differently than your average sneakers, think warm and cosy rather than tight. Check out our detailed size guide on each product page. Pro tip, if you're between sizes, go down one size. Your feet will thank you.

Are FUBUKI boots true to size?

→ FUBUKI boots are designed with a roomier fit to accommodate warm socks and keep air circulating for insulation. If you're between sizes or used to a snug fit, we recommend sizing down. Check our size guide for full measurements and guidance here.

Can I wear thick socks with my FUBUKIs?

→ Of course! But most people don't need to. FUBUKIs are designed to trap warm air around your feet, so a normal pair of socks is often enough. If you're planning an extra-cold adventure, feel free to add thicker socks for even more warmth.

How do I clean my FUBUKIs?

→ We have the perfect recipe to make your boots shine like they’re brand new. Follow our three-step guide right here.

→ Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. They'll be ready and waiting when winter comes knocking again.

What happens if my Fubukis have a quality issue?

→ Oh no! That’s not supposed to happen. If your FUBUKI's have a quality issue, please fill out our warranty claims form. We’ll take a look at it as soon as we can and help you find the best solution. We believe great boots should last for many adventures!

You find our contact details for the email here.

Sustainability and Materials:

What are FUBUKIS made of?

→ Our boots are made from a smart mix of lightweight, durable, and weatherproof materials that keep you warm and comfy without weighing you down.

The details:

Shell: 100% EVA, Collar: 100% Polyester, Sole: 100% Synthetic Rubber, Toecap: 100% ABS Composite, Lining: ~50% Wool / ~50% Polyester, Insole: ~95% Acrylic / ~5% Aluminium

Basically: comfort meets performance, and they look great doing it!

Are FUBUKIs vegan?

→ Our Okinawa and Miyako models are completely vegan and contain no animal-derived materials. Our Niseko and Nozawa models contain 50% Australian wool in the lining for natural warmth and comfort. Full material details for each product can be found on the product page.

Do you make your boots sustainably?

→ We’re always working to minimize our footprint, in every sense of the word. Sustainability at FUBUKI isn’t about chasing trends, it’s about making things that last.

  • Permanent collections: We don’t believe in temporary collections. Aside from the occasional tweak or innovation, the boots we make today are the same ones we’ll be making in ten years. Seasonal carry-overs are our thing.
  • Few article numbers: You won’t find hundreds of different styles here. We focus on a tight, well-designed catalogue that does the job, functionally and aesthetically.
  • Limited productions: We only produce two batches of boots a year. Overproducing isn’t good for the planet (or for us), so yes, that sometimes means we sell out. But good things are worth the wait.

Basically, we believe that great boots shouldn’t cost the Earth, and they should last long enough to explore a good chunk of it.
